Hey folks.

Been awhile since I did any kinda journal entry. Mostly cos I've been swamped with work and haven't had much to say. So thought I'd update with my thoughts of the best thing so far this year.

The Avengers movie.

OH. Mah. Gawd.
Easily my favourite movie of all time, and the best Superhero movie ever!! I was originally worried that Downey would hog the screen time but the movie was very balanced and everyone got their moments and development and everyone had their spotlight time. It was great. The dialogue and how each character related or conflicted was great. The lines were hilarious. Truly it felt like a comic book come to life. Joss Whedon really deserves this and has done an awesome job!!
I went to watch it 3 times in 2 days and will probably go see it a few more times while it's on. Hell, it's basically converted me to going Blu Ray with my dvds. And pretty much everyone I've talked to will see it more than once. So I highly recommend it.
We're probably years away from an Avengers 2, but if they can deliver another one like this, I'd love it.

But what makes me sad is that we'll never have an X-men movie as good as this till Marvel studios get the rights back, and I'm pretty sure fox will hold onto the X-men movie franchise for as long as possible.
Also, doubt Warner will give us a Justice League or Titans movie to match this sadly. And if they tried, I kinda think it'd just disappoint me so I don't have high hopes.

So yes, Avengers. Go see it, you're in for a treat.

Now the next movie I'm super excited for is Prometheus!
